Needle mat
Needle mat
Insulmat E-Sil is an amorphous silica fiber felt mechanically needled and free of chemical bonding agents. The high level of silica gives the product increased compactness, flexibility and resistance to high temperatures.
Insulmat E-Sil is non combustible, chemically stable and offers good acoustic absorption.
Thanks to its heat insulation qualities it is used as interior insulation of blankets for turbines, combustion chambers and exhausts.
Insulmat E-Sil is certified by MMI in accordance with the regulation of S.T.I. MM – 303 Classe IST - 6.
Needle mat
Insulmat E-Glass is an "E" type glass fiber felt, mechanically needled and completely free of chemical bonds. The needle system and the diameter of the fibers (7 – 12 microns) give the product high density, excellent insulating capacity and good acoustic absorption.
Insulmat E-Glass is non combustible, alkaline and chemically stable. Thanks to its flexibility and its vibration resistance, it is used as interior insulation of blankets for turbines, valves, expansion joints, combustion chambers, kilns, engines, exhausts
and ships.
Insulmat E-Glass is certified by RINA in accordance with the current European regulations Solas/IMO and by MMI in accordance with the regulation of S.T.I MM – 303 Classe IST - 5.
Insulbatte®/Tempmat® is also a needle mat in 100% glass fiber, type "E". It is normally produced in thickness 1/2" and 1" by J. P. Stevens and is certified in accordance with the American standards MIL – I – 16411 and U.S. Coast Guard 49CFR164.009.
Glass fiber
Glass fiber textile products in the form of ropes, packing and tapes, principally made of 6 – 9-11 microns filaments assembled into special texturized or voluminized or plied yarns.
These products are used as heat insulation for temperatures up to 540°C.
Absolutely non combustible and with good mechanical characteristics, they are resistant to abrasion and to vibration.
They are stable and corrosion resistant.
